It’s with great respect and admiration to provide testimony on Glenn’s volunteerism at St. Vincent DePaul Mission Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry. He is a familiar friendly face to our clients. For the past two years, Glenn has been coming, on Thursdays, to help out with the registration and record keeping of people receiving bagged groceries from our Food Pantry. These vital statistics are then provided monthly to the Connecticut Food Bank and eventually sent to Feed America Organization, which keeps track of food insecurity throughout the nation for government statistics and funding appropriation. This is no small task when you imagine the impact he has in his role!
Glenn also participated in a televised panel discussion on food insecurity and revealed his experience on the front lines listening to the stories he heard from people’s difficulties with not having enough food to feed their families.
On a personal side, his interaction with people that are less fortunate and struggling to make ends meet is admirable. He uses his limited Spanish with that heartfelt sincerity welcoming those that don’t speak English. His kindness makes our clients smile even if it’s only for that moment. All 1,112 families he served in 2018.

I brought in GD Consulting LLC when our Engineering Manager left with relatively short notice. I was new to that particular division as the General Manager (only about three months there), and I needed someone to do a thorough review of our engineering practices and procedures. Being in an FDA regulated industry, this was very important to maintaining compliance and ensuring we continued on our continuous improvement journey.
GD Consulting did a very thorough review of all our documentation, and – just as importantly – what we were actually doing. Glenn spent time meeting with each team member to build confidence and trust and ensure he was getting the straight scoop. He also spent time on the manufacturing floor observing how things were translating into practice. Glenn always made sure to meet with me to bring me up to speed when he was on site – providing me with key learnings, improvements, and things I needed to watch out for. Glenn worked as a consultant for Orchid Design for a significant part of 2017. Glenn and I worked together for almost two years, when he was the Production and also Operations Manager at Orchid Orthopedics. The majority of that time he was my direct supervisor—as well as managing everyone on the shop floor—and I am grateful for the direction Glenn provided in a challenging environment. The leadership Glenn presents is unusual in manufacturing. His managerial approach offers the opportunity for staff to take lead of their own work, which encourages a positive relationship between a person and their output.
